Stealth Strains: Top Low Odour Cannabis Strains You Should Grow

It’s no secret. Growing cannabis can be a pretty stinky business.

Whether you're growing indoors or outdoors, that infamous aroma can cause some seriously unwanted attention.

All cannabis plants do stink, but fortunately for you, some strains are way less potent.

These strains are known as low-odour cannabis strains.

There's a variety of seeds on the market, but today we're going to focus on the top low-smelling stealthy strains you can grow at home, inside or outside. Stop worrying about nosey neighbours and start maxing out your yield.

Let’s take a look at the best low-odour cannabis strains to cultivate. But first, it’s essential to know what makes cannabis smell the way it does.

What Causes Cannabis to Smell?

Cannabis plants get their smell thanks to terpenes and terpenoids. Cannabis plants tend to smell stinky, most potent during their flowering stage when buds are developing.

It is not because of cannabinoids like THC and CBD that cannabis gets its aroma.

Terpenes and flavonoids like limonene, myrcene, pinene, and humulene are all terpenes that give cannabis strains their smell, flavour, and effects.

Northern Lights

Northern Lights is an Indica strain that flowers between eight and nine weeks and has a THC content between 18 and 20%.

Harvest time is in late September, and you can expect between 500 and 550 g of dry cannabis per metre squared. Northern Lights is a great strain when it comes to stealth growing.

This strain has fruity undertones when dried, but the smell is more generic while it is growing. Northern Lights makes a great mother plant to produce low-odour clones.

Even when you want to grow stealthily, Northern Lights has a spicy, earthy aroma when it's smoked. This strain is perfect for both novice and experienced cannabis cultivators.
